Rapid Response Organizer
Jennifer is PPAM’s Rapid Response Organizer based in Macomb county. Born in San Antonio, Texas, and adopted at just one-month-old, Jen has lived in the Metro Detroit Area her whole life. She grew up in New Baltimore, an only child, passionate student, and athlete, and went on to graduate from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in Spanish Language in 2016. During her time there, she became deeply invested in causes supporting Mental Health Awareness and helped to form a Student Organization on campus that worked to combat stigma and connect students to resources. It was through Student Organizations at OU that Jen had her first experience combating abortion stigma.
Jen’s held various job titles over the years in the service industry, in healthcare, and in wellness fields. After years of volunteering in the political field, Jen was finally able to accept a job as an Organizer in 2020. Since then, she’s worked for campaigns helping to elect candidates such as Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Gary Peters, and Jon Ossoff. In 2021, Jen ran for City Council and continues to push for equity and accountability within local government.
She is passionate about organizing in her community and fighting for causes like reproductive rights, racial justice, and environmental justice. She lives in St. Clair Shores with her partner Brandon and their 90lb dog-child, Frank. When Jen isn’t nerding out about Michigan politics, she can be found teaching yoga, enjoying Lake St. Clair, and more than likely dancing on her own.
