Mariah Phelps

Since 2016, Mariah has been organizing and managing campaigns of pro-choice candidates and campaigns. She comes from a small town in rural Southwest Michigan and is passionate about engaging with swing voters about progressive values that will lift up the middle and working classes.

Mariah is often known as the queen of side hustles. Her current community involvement outside of PPAM includes such positions as Kalamazoo City Planning Commissioner, Kalamazoo County Democratic Party Chair, and Comstock Soccer Coach (varsity boys and middle school girls), and small business owner.

Mariah studied Public Policy at Albion College and International Relations at University of Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, car camping with her dogs, and baking sweets for her family.
