Our reproductive freedom in Michigan
is at stake.
In 2022, Michigan voters came out in record numbers to add protections for reproductive freedom by passing Proposal 3. Michiganders also elected pro-reproductive freedom majorities in both chambers of the legislature for the first time in nearly 40 years. With this slim majority, our leaders have made incredible progress in protecting and expanding access to abortion and other reproductive health care.
Yet if anti-abortion politicians take back the majority in the Michigan House of Representatives, they would take away our reproductive freedoms and undo everything Michiganders have fought for.

Mark Tisdel will work to ban abortion.
He voted to keep Michigan’s outdated 1931 abortion ban that would throw people in jail — with no exceptions for rape or incest. In fact, he said the law didn’t go far enough and argued that people who get abortions should be charged with murder. He also voted against legislation to protect people who decide to build their families through IVF and surrogacy. He voted against protecting students who were sexually assaulted by predators like Larry Nassar and voted against expanding the statute of limitations to allow more survivors of sexual assault to prosecute their perpetrators.
By voting against Michigan’s Reproductive Health Act in 2023, Mark Tisdel refused to remove harmful and unconstitutional barriers to abortion access. He did all of this despite the fact that 60% of voters in his district voted to protect reproductive freedom by passing Proposal 3 in 2022. He has also been endorsed by the anti-abortion group Right to Life of Michigan.
If re-elected, Mark will take away our reproductive freedoms, undoing everything Michiganders have fought for. At no point should the personal opinion of a politician like Mark Tisdel have a say in medical decisions between a person and their doctor.
Trevis Harrold will protect and expand abortion access.
As a champion for sexual and reproductive health, Trevis Harrold is committed to protecting access to abortion, birth control, IVF, and other reproductive care. When serving as a member of the U.S. Diplomatic Corps in 2019, Trevis led humanitarian efforts to provide free health care and aid to 6,600 people in Jamaica.
Trevis has dedicated his career to public service and is the only candidate in this race who we can trust to expand our reproductive freedoms so everyone can access the care they need and deserve.
