Gabriela Sullen

Gabriela Sullen is a women's wellness advocate now serving as the Associate Director of Constituency Programs for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan. In this role, she will oversee Black Organizing, RAIZ(roots in Spanish), Civic Engagement, Generation Action, and Patient Advocacy Programs.

She has consulted for the Rise Coaching Agency as the Executive Consultant for community outreach and global partnerships as well as Greenhorn Employment solutions as the Director of Strategic Partnerships. Prior to this position, Gabriela served in the areas of community engagement and strategic planning at Johns Hopkins Health Care System. In this role, she improved the hospital’s repository of policies, procedures, regulatory, and compliance documents.

The Detroit native is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys public speaking and has presented at local and national conferences. During the pandemic, Gabriela launched her entrepreneurial career through investing and started a luxury fragrance line, Dalia Worldwide.

In her spare time, Gabriela serves as the Core Engagement Chair and sits on the Board of Directors for Warrior Women Against Poverty, a Detroit nonprofit focused on stabilizing and transforming the lives of homeless women with children. Gabriela has a passion for policy and community health that impacts black and brown families nationwide. She firmly believes that her superpower is bridging the gap between people and opportunities. This creates a synergy that empowers individuals and organizations to grow exponentially.

Gabriela earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a minor in Latino Studies, from Wayne State University in Detroit. She received her Master’s of Public Administration in Healthcare from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
