Director of Political and Field Operations

Pronouns:
she/her

Jenny Kinne serves as the Director of Political and Field Operations at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan. She has been involved with Planned Parenthood of Michigan for many years, starting with an advocacy internship in 2012, which evolved into a lifelong love for the organization. She has since served as PPAM’s West Michigan Community Organizer and member-elected Board Member.

In between and alongside Planned Parenthood involvement, Jenny has worked at the Michigan League for Public Policy and Reproductive Freedom for All to organize communities and provide education on reproductive and economic justice issues. In 2018, she became the owner of Books & Mortar, a proudly progressive, independent bookshop in Grand Rapids, MI, that has built an amazing community of thinkers, readers, and activists. Inspired by her love of books, Jenny also sought out a Masters in English Literature and has taught college-level English courses at her local community college.

After having her first baby and witnessing the fall of Dobbs, Jenny decided to commit herself to full-time advocacy. Jenny hopes to weave together her passions for community building, storytelling, grassroots organizing, and movement development in her role here at PPAM. When she isn’t busy at work, you will find Jenny spending time with her family and reading as many books as she can get her hands on.
